Where did I start

1000037141.png

I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin where my father was the local Methodist minister. We didn't have much, but I learned the values of faith, hard work, and serving others.

Like many kids, I worked my way through school—detasseling corn in the summers, bussing tables at Country Kitchen, and working at McDonald's and Hardee's.

Those jobs taught me that if you wanted something, you earned it.  Those lessons stayed with me throughout my life—from serving as an Army officer to leading large organizations and giving back to the communities where I've lived.

I'm running for City Commission because I love New Smyrna Beach and want to help preserve what makes it special. My commitment to this community isn't defined by the organizations I belong to, but by the values of service, integrity, and hard work that have guided me my entire life.

Visits over the Decades

Jennifer and Jeff took their first trip together to New Smyrna Beach in 1991 when Jennifer returned from the Gulf War.  Since then, she and her family have built many sandcastles:  visiting family here often.   For years, they lived where they were needed — across the country and overseas — but when it came time to choose their forever home, they chose New Smyrna Beach

The Issues

Good leadership starts with listening. After conducting an online survey and speaking with residents at the Farmers Market and community events, the main priorities and issues facing our town have become very clear

The Vision

Words to live by: General Omar Bradley once said, ‘Set your course by the stars, not by the lights of every passing ship.’

Jennifer envisions a New Smyrna Beach that protects our coastal charm while strengthening public safety, supporting local businesses, and safeguarding our natural environment so that families today—and generations to come—can thrive in a vibrant, resilient, and welcoming community.
